Sauers Owners Selected as Featured Panelists at 2018 ASCA Snow and Ice Show
Sauers is pleased to announce that Joe Sauers and Stephanie Sauers-Boyd have been selected as featured panelists and will be speaking at the 2018 Snow & Ice Show on May 1 – 3, 2018 at the Connecticut Convention Center and Hartford Marriott Downtown in Hartford, CT.
The Snow and Ice Show is a comprehensive conference that fills a void in the snow and ice management market for ASCA in-classroom certification; industry-specific, high-quality educational programming; and elite peer-to-peer networking opportunities. The event unites manufacturers, suppliers and snow and ice management professionals for 3 days of education, networking and trade show.
The presenters represent a diverse cross section of professionals, including top management from leading organizations in North America and throughout the world. As Vice President of Operations, Joe Sauers presents his strong working knowledge of snow and ice operations combined with vast contract writing experience. Joe is both ASCA and ASM Certified. Stephanie Sauers-Boyd, President of Sauers Inc., has led the technology charge for advancement which results in greater efficiency in systems and processes in snow and ice management. Stephanie is also a Certified Snow Professional, ASCA-Certified, and an ASCA PA State Lead for Legislative Change.

May 1 at 2pm – Topic: Structuring Your Snow Team for Success – One of the most challenging aspects of snow and ice management is acquiring, developing, and retaining quality people. Learn some of the top methods of attracting and keeping talented employees from the industry’s leading contractors.
May 1 at 3:10pm – Topic: Setting Up Systems and Processes – Nothing in the snow business is more important than being prepared. Unlike other industries, where schedules are prepared and followed, snow and ice management companies must monitor conditions and be ready to go at a moment’s notice, often at odd hours. Setting up the right systems and processes is critical to a snow contractor’s success or failure. This session focuses on real life examples of how to implement systems and processes for your company to succeed. Panelists will cover how they developed and implemented the systems and processes they put in place to help their company succeed while allowing the owners to take a higher level position at their companies.
May 3 at 10am – Topic: Creating Culture in Your Organization – This panel discussion provides a variety of proven, real-world techniques on how to not only get a group of people to work together as a team, but also how to create a culture that best represents your professional values. This session explores successful hiring strategies, devising an indoctrination process for new workers, developing career ladders for employees to ascend, and how to best retain key employees you’ve invested in.

The panel of experts will share best practices about recruiting quality subcontractors, in-season communication, subcontractor incentives, attraction and retention, subcontractor/client relationships, and overcoming common problems.
